One of the things I do when following a meal plan is prepare marinated meats for the freezer.

You will need a few things to do this.

  • Freezer bags
  • Chicken (Family Packs)
  • Marinades

Place the Chicken into freezer bags and pouring enough marinade to cover. Seal bag and mush around to make sure that marinade has covered every surface of the meat. Lay flat in freezer. The meat will marinade as it freezes.

Don’t forget to add fresh Herbs!

Then all you have to do is pull it out of freezer in the morning and place in fridge to wait for you to get it on the grill.

I usually have 2 grilling days, especially if the weather allows. And I usually grill two flavors at a time. That way my meals during the next couple of days are different.

When you finish the 6 week challenge you can create your own marinades using different ingredients. This technique will keep you on track. Expecially during the warmer months when girlling is almost nightly.

On those days that call for Veggies and Chicken or fish, Why not marinate the meat and chop up some veggies and throw them shish-kabob style on the grill. Served over a bed of yummy brown rice or quinoa seasoned with fresh herbs it is sure to satisfy!
